Donate - Ways You Can Help
A video explaining why we prefer monetary donations over canned goods:
Cash goes a long way; $1 can be transformed into 14 pounds of food through the generosity and support of The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. Community members sometimes supply the pantry with nonperishables; but fresh milk, eggs, fruits, meats, breads, and vegetables are needed too. Donated nonperishables often need to be supplemented. And just like you, the pantry pays rent and utility bills, and purchases gasoline to fuel the van that transports food.
We are 100% volunteer operated and are grateful for our supporters’ generosity of time and effort, but cash donations keep our doors open.
Personal checks enable 100% of your donation to be put to use immediately. Checks should be made payable to Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Inc. and mailed to 30 Carew Street, South Hadley, MA 01075-2705.
If you wish to make a food donation, check out our weekly wish list here.
NHN is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all donations, financial or otherwise, are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. It’s a worthy cause, and you’ll be a pantry hero.
We can’t do it without you!
